Istanbul to Beč is an independent personal publication centred on Bosnia. It is a home for writing in Turkish and English about history, culture, politics and everyday life.
Its name follows the Istanbul–Sarajevo–Beč line. Beč is the name used for Vienna in Bosnia; Sarajevo sits at the intellectual centre of the publication.
Books, technology, sport and other interests may find their way in, too. The site gives writing a lasting home that readers can return to.
Analytics and privacy
We use PostHog’s EU infrastructure to understand which pages are visited and where readers arrive from. Analytics includes page views, content language, referring site and device/browser information.
This measurement uses no cookies or browser storage. Person profiles, automatic click tracking and session replay are disabled. Query strings and fragments are removed from page URLs before sending; referring URLs retain only the site origin. Local development and design previews are not measured.
